Title: “Capitol Visit” Original water color painting 12 x 16 inches
This painting received Purchase Award and Honorable Mention at the 2013 Prattauga Art Guild, Fall Art Show. Ironically, my inspiration came on my drive back from another show in Montgomery, Alabama. The sun was low in the west and dark clouds made the white Capitol building stand out. I pulled over and took several pictures. However, there were no people in sight. I wanted to create a mood, so in the painting I made it rain and added people. I liked this one, hope you do to.
